We are a women-owned accounting firm dedicated to providing accounting services to those in the cannabis industry. We have been providing accounting services to businesses for over 25 years. With the growing number of states legalizing marijuana, and due to the complex nature of cannabis accounting, we knew there would be a demand for cannabis accounting services. 

Currently, there is very little GAPP guidance for Cannabis and CBD/Hemp.  As advocates for responsible business practices, we continuously invest in education, technology, and innovation in order to stay ahead of this evolving industry. For the last several years we have spent a great deal of time collectively researching and studying the cannabis industry, along with its complexities, and Mary Jane Accounting LLC was formed. 

By only providing services to those in the cannabis industry, we can focus solely on the complex practices of cannabis accounting and be able to provide you with the world class cannabis accounting service you deserve.

On May 30th, 2023  Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota signed an expansive legalization bill into law, allowing legal recreational use of cannabis for adults 21 and older starting August 1, 2023.  

With Walz’s signature, Minnesota became the 23rd state to legalize adult-use cannabis and the third Midwestern state to do so.
